Fantastic Frames

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, there is nothing that transforms a card more than a good frame. In this tutorial, we will take a few basic cards and totally transform them with the use of a frame.

These cards are all made from elements that were in our Frames Bundle for our Black Friday Sale.  If you weren't able to grab a Bundle, you can find the individual products at the bottom of the instructions for each card. Either way, we hope these cards inspire you to toss a frame on that card!

Elegant Mirror Frame

Step-By-Step Instructions
- Begin with a 5x5" card base
- With double-sided foam tape, attach a 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" sheet of mirror paper
- With double-sided foam tape, attach a 4 5/8" x 4 5/8" sheet of decorative paper (we used SCRAPUS111 and a sheet from PPSL154)
- Using the outer nesting die in CED4319, cut a base layer out of coconut white
card stock
- Using the first and second die in CED4319, cut the frame out of mirror card
stock
- Using the third die in CED4319, cut an oval out of the coconut white card stock
- Using the inner three dies in CED4319, cut a frame out of the same decorative
paper you've already used
- Using the inner most die in CED4319, cut an oval around a sentiment (we used
a vellum sheet from PPSL151)
- Attach all of the frame layers with craft glue, then attach to the card with
double-sided foam tape, and voila! You've got yourself a simple, elegant card.

3D Floral Frames

Step-By-Step Instructions
- Begin with a 5 1/2" x 4" card base in coconut white card stock
- Cut a 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" layer of coconut white card stock
- Choose a 3D frame and carefully punch out all of the pre-cut pieces
- Attach the pieces of the frame with foam pads, layering the matching elements
- Stamp a sentiment in the centre of the 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" coconut white card
- Attach the card to the card base using double-sided foam tape
- Attach the frame to the card using double-sided foam tape
- Finish it off with pearl accents in the corners, and add any other elements, like
the fence we added in the second picture from item #85008
