I remember when this die was released and Marianne touted it as "the essential box card die" ... upon first inspection, I didn't see the necessity. Then one of our designers, Marilynne Oskamp, made up a card using the die. This set in motion a year-long love affair with this die!! Now I call myself a "box-card-aholic". I am a scene card maker so for me, this is right up my alley.
This is the very popular card that Marilynne designed
So as previously mentioned, I am totally addicted to this particular card style. Here's some examples of cards I've done using the box card as my base.
I've left this image large so you could see a bit of detail. But these images are also on the Free Box Card Project Download for your viewing pleasure.
As you can see, in many instances, I use edgers or other dies to cut out the opening in the center. My favourite is the edgers, it just gives such an interesting and polished look to the overall design.
Well I hope you take advantage of the free download and join me in this Box Card Craze I've got myself on!!
