The company I work for has just been given the North American distribution rights to the Claritystamp products. This includes the Clarity Stencil Brushes that are considered the BEST ink application tool for craft stenciling.
I got this stamp at a garage sale, and really had no plans for it but just loved it.
Fast forward to last night and I see this watercolor technique using those stamp positioning tools. Bingo!!
We have been testing out and doing instructional videos on our new Position It "The Ultimate Stamping Tool" and I will admit ... I really didn't think it was a tool I needed. THEN I started playing with it!! Hook, line and sinker, baby ... I am hooked!!
It seems hard to find embossing folders I like that have an open [non-embossed] center to place sentiments.
There are products you can purchase called diffusers that allow you to omit an area of the embossing folder from connecting with the paper.
I'll explain in a little pictorial. This isn't a new technique but worth sharing here as it has come to my attention that some people aren't familiar with this embossing technique.

Just want to fire off a quick blog on one of my favorite mixed media products. Cosmic Shimmer Mists and Vintage Mists. They are water-based spray using mica powders as the color base and, as the label says "creates amazing shimmering effects".
